Coronavirus restrictions
Following the latest government guidelines on ‘working in other people’s homes’ we can confirm that our designers and installers are able to visit your home safely.
The safety and well-being of our staff and clients has always been our priority, and so we, like everyone have had to adapt in response to coronavirus. We have made changes to the way we work throughout our business and all our staff have embraced new working practices, to keep themselves and others safe.
Staying Covid-19 Secure in 2021
Our Risk Assessments are regularly reviewed and updated to ensure compliance with the latest Government instructions for ‘Working Safely during Covid-19’.
Our Factories & Offices
Social Distancing and Enhanced Hygiene regimes are now the standard in all our work environments. Our Factories and Offices have designated walkways, and arrivals and departures are staggered to avoid bottlenecks. Desks have been spaced out, with Home Working adopted to reduce the number of people in the building. Hand sanitiser stations are accessible everywhere and all touch points get disinfected regularly.
Home Design Visits
When it comes to Home Design Visits, we have adopted new working practices to keep everyone safe. We are always happy to discuss projects by phone or video call, but more than three decades of experience tell us that the best design service includes a visit to your home.
You will find careful social distancing throughout the visit – there really is no need to get closer than two metres to complete any part of the call. You can expect a friendly wave instead of a handshake, and our Designers will be using disposable gloves and cleaning materials for samples.
All our Designer will be meticulous when visiting clients, but you will be able to discuss exactly how you would like your visit to be conducted, with your local Designer in advance on the phone. For example, you may prefer that he or she wears a face covering in your home or that face-to-face discussions take place in a well ventilated area.
Our Showrooms
Our showrooms have now reopened; we have adopted strict social distancing, hygiene and cleaning procedures, and are managing client visits to ensure you have a great, worry-free experience. We have plenty of space and are limiting visitor numbers to ensure social distancing throughout your visit – there really is no need to get closer than two metres at any stage of the process.
We are doing everything we can to make your visit easy and enjoyable as well as safe. You can expect a friendly wave instead of a handshake, and we have disposable face masks available at the door in case any visitor forgets to bring one.
Surveying & Fitting
Equally, our work methods have been adapted to ensure Social Distancing and Enhanced Hygiene continue when our Surveyors and Fitters are in clients’ homes.
Health Screening
Our Code of Conduct includes a clear instruction to all our staff not to visit clients or attend work if they become ill or have any Coronavirus symptoms. If they or any member of their household have or are suspected of having Covid-19, they are required to stay at home and follow medical and government instructions on self-isolating.
We would obviously ask you to do the same and not to go ahead with a design visit, survey or installation if you or any member of your household has or is suspected of having the virus.
Working Together
With a little extra time and care we can all stay safe while achieving something truly special for your home – something for you to enjoy for many years to come.
